Recently Completed 1964 Cadillac Restoration Project

1964 Cadillac Restoration Now Complete

Reputation and advertising are important components to attracting new restoration clientele. However, when you combine one or both with an in-person meeting where a prospective Cadillac
restoration customer can also closely examine examples of your work.

That was the case at the Cadillac & LaSalle Club's 2017 Grand National Meet in Las Vegas. Three of our restoration customers had cars displayed at the prestigious meet known for stringent judging standards. It was there that an enthusiast who owned a low-mileage and original 1964 Cadillac Eldorado met our team with whom he discussed his car's needs.

We were able to walk him through the show field to guide his inspection of our work. After doing so, he was impressed enough to send his prized Eldorado from his home in Oregon all the way across the nation to our Cadillac restoration facility in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Over the years, he amassed a collection of new, old stock parts that were used for much of the work. While this was not a full, frame-off project and was limited in scope, every bit of our experience, expertise, and skill was applied to make for a magnificent completed project. You can see the car pictured above taken just before it was sent back home to its happy owner.

Interested parties should contact Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) to discuss their project.

Cadillac Restoration by CPR

Professional Cadillac Restoration

Page through an issue of Hemmings Motor News or perform a Google search for auto restoration providers and you'll find an almost countless number of listings. Among those will be some reputable
Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) of Poughkeepsie, NY
restorers but there will also be some inexperienced/incompetent shops that will waste your time and much of your money.

When if comes to the more collectible classics, it's essential to do your homework and those seeking to restore America's premier luxury automobile have one best choice of Cadillac restoration providers, Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) of Poughkeepsie, NY.

Low-production number cars of the 1950s and 1960s (or earlier) translates into rarity today. That rarity mandates a restorer with directly relevant experience with the make/model of your classic car. It's not just a collectible, it's also a valuable investment. Cadillac Parts & Restoration has been Restoring the Standard of the WorldTM since 1984 (back to its FEN Enterprises roots) and its team are the world's most experiences restorers of the luxury marquee.

CPR's restoration team is small and that's by design. It's not an assembly-line type of operation that annually churns out a dozen or more full restoration projects. The talent pool that can perform up to their expectations is small and experience, competence and attention to detail are non-negotiable when it comes to hiring decisions.

Full, frame-off Cadillac restoration work is what CPR is known for and you'll find their completed projects earning First Place awards at many of the prestigious meets including the Grand National
Restored 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz by CPR
events held by the Cadillac & LaSalle Club and the Antique Automobile Association of America. However, the majority of work performed involves partial restoration projects and vital repair and maintenance service that keeps both restored and original classics looking and running well.

Rare cars are often more difficult and more expensive to restore. That's primarily due to hard-to-source parts along with a lack of model-specific knowledge that only comes with relevant experience. When a classic car collector is spending well into six figures for a completely restored Cadillac, they expect the project to be done correctly and stand the test of time, regardless of whether it will be entered in concours-level events or not.

Cadillac Parts & Restoration is conveniently located to those in New England and points north as well as New York City and points south. Interested parties can visit their website at www.cprforyourcar.com or call (845) 462-5959 to make an inquiry or schedule an appointment to visit.

Classic Cadillac Grille Restoration

Cadillac Grille Restoration - Professionally Done

Sitting front and center, no other exterior feature of your classic Cadillac suffers more abuse than the front grille. Stones, salt, road grime, bugs, ice and other contaminants consistently attack the grille
1960 Cadillac Eldorado grille restored by CPR
and decades of road use takes its toll.

Artistically and elaborately-designed, when in good condition it adds great beauty to the vehicle and makes an ideal first impression. The grilles on classic Cadillacs were created to impress.

There are many well-cared for classics out there that look brilliant, show car or not. However, a beat-up grille detracts from the appearance. They can only be cleaned and polished so much and at a certain point restoration is necessary. When your car has reached that stage, Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) is the best option for your Cadillac grille restoration,

Whether part of a larger project, or just the grille alone, CPR's restoration professionals will put their thirty-five years of experience to work ensuring a grille that looks as good as it did the day your car

left the dealer showroom. Disassembly, repair of imperfections, re-anodizing/re-chroming and reassembly will all be handled with their hallmark tender loving care. Pictured is a completed 1960 Cadillac grille restoration by CPR that shines like a just-polished piece of jewelry.

While restoring the grille, it may also be a good time to address other items likely in need of attention like the bumper and engine compartment. Under the hood is often forgotten and neglected but showing off a newly and correctly restored engine bay at shows or cruise nights makes a big impression on knowledgeable auto aficionados.

Whether you get your car to CPR or just send the grille, you can rest assured that great care and pride of work will be applied to your project. Cadillac Parts & Restoration is located in Poughkeepsie, NY and easily reached by those in New England and points north as well as New York City and points south. 1978 Cadillac visits CPR's Cadillac restoration team

CPR's Cadillac Restoration Team - 1978 Sedan deVille

Even well-maintained, low-mileage original classics require repair and regular maintenance and this 1978 Cadillac Sedan deVille with just 18,000 miles on the clock is no different.

Cadillacs of the late 1970s are rapidly gaining in popularity and are more frequently appearing at our Cadillac restoration facility. While they may never realize the exalted values held by predecessor models from the 50s and 60s they are still only just gaining popularity among collectors and time will tell if prudent storage and care over the life of cars of this vintage will result in price appreciation that makes such effort financially worthwhile.

Of course, sentimental reasons over financial are a more common driver of classic car interest and restoration and it's impossible to assign a monetary value to emotional connections. However, no matter the reason a car's owner has for bringing his car to CPR our experienced restoration experts take pride in doing their part to preserve this segment of American history.

This 1978 Cadillac arrived at Cadillac Parts & Restoration in need of a complete air conditioning and
heating system overhaul and having exhaust system issues. When she left she had a climate control system that was restored to factory specifications and a new exhaust system including NOS mufflers.

While the repairs performed were not inexpensive, proper care and regular maintenance prevented the need for other, much more costly work. There's a great focus on our frame-off classic Cadillac restoration projects but, in total, we complete no more than two or three of those projects each year and the majority of our customers arrive needing a more limited scope of work.

Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) has been restoring the Standard of the World since 1984 and offers restoration, maintenance/repair, and parts supply services to the classic Cadillac community. Located in Poughkeepsie, NY (about sixty minutes north of New York City), CPR is easily reachable by plain, train, and automobile. For inquiries or appointments call (845) 462-5959.

1966 Cadillac - partial restoration

This 1966 Cadillac belongs to a CPR customer who is very diligent about its upkeep and maintenance. He's also preparing for a cross-country journey in the classic convertible and sent it to
Cadillac Parts & Restoration to prepare the car for the trip.

In addition to important maintenance and repair work we repaired the air conditioning system so it would blow plenty of cold air when traveling through the hot southwestern United States.

With its destination being southern California and its legendary car culture, our team refreshed the cosmetics to ensure a proper impression will be made as it cruises along historic Route 66 and the Pacific Coast Highway.

While not a full-blown classic Cadillac restoration project, the work performed symbolizes an important aspect of our mission, preserving automotive history one classic Cadillac at a time by keeping them on the road and running well.

The World's Finest Restored Cadillacs

Since the creation of FEN Enterprises in 1984, the Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) team has provided award-winning service to the classic Cadillac community. Although the team now operated
in a new facility and under a new name, the tradition of excellence carries on.

Located in Poughkeepsie, NY, the team of Cadillac restoration specialists doesn't operate on an assembly line mentality like most others. Instead, they focus on quality rather than quantity. The results of that philosophy speaks volumes. Annually, CPR-restored Cadillacs appear for stringent judging at the Cadillac & LaSalle Club Grand National Meets and consistently earn First Place awards in their respective classes.

The latest completed Cadillac restoration projects to leave CPR are a stunning and highly-collectible 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz and a beautiful in blue 1972 Cadillac Coupe deVille.

The 1960 Eldorado Biarritz is now back home with its owner who is undoubtedly enjoying many
1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz restoration
miles of top-down cruising. He's  a Cadillac aficionado who's sent three cars to CPR for restoration, all convertibles. It's this kind of loyalty that keeps the team booked up with projects many years in advance.

The 1972 Cadillac Coupe deVille wasn't a full nuts and bolts project, but a partial restoration. Despite not being a "frame-off" job, many hours of careful labor and expertise went into producing a beautiful final product that its owner is very proud of.

Cadillac Parts & Restoration is located in Poughkeepsie, NY and is easily reachable by plane, train and automobile. If you're considering restoring that classic Cadillac, give them a call at (845) 462-5959.

Cadillac Restoration by CPR - 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

CPR Cadillac Restoration

1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz - completed restoration project

This gorgeous 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz arrived at Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) on a frigid sub-zero temperature day in 2016. After a complete disassembly, many man hours went into
restoring her right down to every nut and bolt. View a video of this Cadillac restoration project taken when CPR reunited the body with the frame.

The 1960 Cadillac models represented a change in design philosophy with the automaker moving away from the audacious and bulbous styling of the 1950s and towards a sleeker body style. While the famous tail fins of the 1959 models were toned down, the luxurious appointments that made for Cadillac's Standard of the World reputation remained.

Customer loyalty is why CPR's team has been able to serve the classic Cadillac community since 1984 and the owner of this big-finned classic is just one example of their repeat business. This is the third full restoration performed for the gentleman owner of this Biarritz with the others being a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz and a 1956 Buick Roadmaster convertible.

Learn more about Cadillac Parts & Restoration by visiting their website at www.cprforyourcar.com. Those ready to discuss their Cadillac restoration project can call CPR at (845) 462-5959. They've had the same telephone number for about thirty years now and would be glad to speak with you.

Cadillac Restoration Success - CLC Grand National Meet

Year after year, classic Cadillacs restored by Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) participate in the
prestigious Cadillac & LaSalle Club (CLC) Grand National Meet. Long considered the premier organization dedicated to preserving the legacy of the Cadillac brand, the clubs annual meet draws the finest original and restored Cadillacs from North America.

In 2014, the Grand National Meet saw three of CPR's Cadillac restoration projects entered for the notoriously rigid judging. When the results were announced at the meet ending awards banquet, all three cars earned a First Place in their respective class.

The award-winning cars were: a 1936 Cadillac V8; a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Seville and a 1959
1936 Cadillac restoration project
Cadillac Coupe de Ville. Each car underwent an exhaustive frame-off restoration by the CPR team and looked and drove as well as they did when they originally left the showroom.

This type of success at the CLC Grand National meets is typical for CPR who, through attendance and customer cars, maintains a presence year after year.

The Cadillac Parts & Restoration team has served the classic Cadillac community since 1984 and has produced some of the world's finest restored Cadillacs. While full, frame-off restoration is their specialty, they also perform partial restoration as well as maintenance and repair services. Their length of time in business allows them to pair the ability to source rare parts with exceptional craftsmanship. CPR restorations take home awards at 2017 Grand National Meet

Not a year passes that classic Cadillacs restored by CPR don't have a big presence at the prestigious Cadillac & LaSalle Club's (CLC) Grand National Meet. This year in McLean, VA was no different and, as usual, projects by Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) took home top awards.

The CLC is the world's largest and most authoritative member-based organization for all things Cadillac and their annual meet attracts Cadillac owners (and fans) from around the world. While it serves as a fantastic showcase for our completed projects, it's also a wonderful opportunity to reunite with longtime friends and meet new people.

Judging at the CLC Grand National Meet is notoriously difficult and is performed mostly by classic Cadillac owners who know their stuff and examine not only the entire car for correctness and quality but also check the operation of all functions (air conditioning, wipers, lights, etc.. Judging at very few classic car shows is this involved.

This year's meet saw our 1960 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz restoration project take home the Senior
Wreath award in its class. This beauty is owned by a gentleman who is a repeat and long-time customer of ours and this is the third car we've restored for him.

We're also glad he's getting this car back home so he can enjoy some top-down cruising in this collectible classic. Nothing makes our team of Cadillac restoration experts happier than knowing that a car they labored on intensely will be enjoyed on the road and not spend its life parked in a garage awaiting the next concours event.

Also at the meet was a white 1959 Cadillac Coupe deVille that is a perfect example of just how
strong sentimental value is and why it plays an important role in our industry.

This vehicle, with its iconic tail fins was passed on from father to son and was meticulously cared for throughout its life. When the son assumed ownership of the coupe he carried on that tradition and, when it arrived at CPR's facility, it needed only a partial restoration to get it to "Senior" award winning condition.

These two icons of American automotive history were just two of our restorations to be recognized with awards at the 2017 Grand National. Stay tuned for another dispatch about the big meet.

1956 Buick Roadmaster: CPR-completed restoration

1956 Buick Roadmaster Restoration Project

Known for specializing in restoring classic Cadillacs, the CPR team also opens their doors to other
Restored 1956 Buick Roadmaster
1956 Buick Roadmaster restoration project
makes and models. This 1956 Buick Roadmaster restoration project was sent up from Alabama by a loyal customer for whom they've previously restored two award-winning classic cars.

Like most low-production cars they've restored, this top of the line model presented more than a few challenges. Finding a pair of exhaust deflectors particular to that model and model year only took many hours of searching and, being the "holy grail" of 1956 Roadmaster parts and quite possibly the last available NOS set out there, they came at a steep price.

But those are the lesser-known expenses involved with classic car restoration. Most think about the hundreds of hours of fabrication, body work and prep but searching for rare parts for a low-production sixty year-old car consumes dozens of hours along. However, that's what is necessary when the goal is a complete and proper restoration that will not only impress the masses but, more importantly, experts who know their classic cars.

About Cadillac Parts & Restoration

Although Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR) has only been in their new Poughkeepsie facility for about five years, their history dates back to 1984 when Elsa Mauer Nicodemus formed FEN Enterprises. A business that began as a small mail-order restoration parts and supply company quickly expanded into the actual restoration work.

As the business grew, so did their reputation and an international clientele blossomed and made FEN known around the world as the go-to Cadillac restoration specialists. In fact, some of the finest examples of restored Cadillacs have rolled out of their doors.

CPR is located in the historic Hudson Valley region of New York State and is conveniently located to those traaveling from the New York City area of from New England. Many customers have their projects transported from across the country and not too long ago they sent a 1961 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz back to its owner in New Zealand.

They can be reached at (845) 462-5959 and will be happy to discuss your restoration project. For more information visit their website.

Restoring the Standard of the World - Classic Cadillac Restoration

FEN Enterprises begins Cadillac Restoration Services

In 1984, FEN Enterprises began as a small mail-order Cadillac restoration supplier offering parts and project supplies our of a spare room in the business owners' Hudson Valley, NY home. Not long after, the business expanded into actual restoration work with the construction of a pole-barn on the same property.

"FEN" made their big splash in the classic Cadillac community with their 1955 Cadillac Eldorado
FEN Enterprises Cadillac Restoration
1955 Cadillac Eldorado - the restoration project that helped
make FEN Enterprises' name
restoration project. The brilliant red classic was dubbed "Bad Girl" due to the challenges presented to the restorers but the end result was a masterpiece. As their completed projects garnered top awards, word spread and the business outgrew the pole-barn and soon moved into a building that formerly housed a health and racquetball club.

The new facility allowed the family-owned business to satisfy the growing demand for their classic car services and business grew at a rapid pace.

"FEN's" Classic Cadillac Restoration Gains Media Attention

The automobile restoration industry is vast but its circles are small and it was inevitable that press and media outlets would begin to notice this small but mighty team of craftsmen. Among the publications that wrote about FEN Enterprises was the industry's most influential, Hemmings Motor News.

Nicknamed the "Bible of the Collector-Car Industry," Hemmings featured the "FEN" team in a fantastic article about their classic Cadillac restoration success titled Restoring the Standard of the World. The article garnered much publicity for the niche business and placed their name into international prominence.

Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR)

Times and situations change, and with that, businesses evolve. Today, the "FEN" team operates out of a new restoration facility in Poughkeepsie, NY and works under the name Cadillac Parts & Restoration (CPR). Still conveniently located to both the New York metropolitan area and New England, their team continues to produce the world's finest examples of restored Cadillacs.

There can be no greater evidence of their continued commitment to excellence than their
showing at the 2017 Cadillac & LaSalle Club Grand National Meet where four of their restoration projects took home First Place awards in their respective classes.

Classic Cadillac owners interested in learning about CPR's restoration services can visit their website at www.cprforyourcar.com or give them a call at (845) 462-5959. They've had the same telephone number for about thirty years and would be glad to speak with prospective customers about their goals.
